Install or upgrade to the latest version of Office
- This offer allows Deakin Students and Staff to install the Office suite onto five computers for free while enrolled or employed at Deakin. The installation and management of the software is controlled through your Deakin Office 365 account. OS X 10.10 or above users get access to Office 2016. OS X 10.6 - 10.9 users get access to Office 2011.
- 2017-11-4 CJ offered the explanation for those who bought an Office 365 license and installed Office 2011 from their subscription. However, most people bought perpetual licenses and have a product key that came with the product. In this case, you can simply install Office 2011 onto your new Mac.

This doesn't affect one-time purchases of Office for Mac 2011 such as, Office Home and Student, Office Home and Business, or Office Professional.

You can now get Office Add-ins from the Store or use Add-ins you already have from right within recent versions of Word for Mac and Excel for Mac.
There are two kinds of add-ins: Office Add-ins from the Office Store (which use web technologies like HTML, CSS and JavaScript) and add-ins made by using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
If you're looking for a built-in add-in such as Solver or Analysis ToolPak, select the Tools menu and then select Add-ins.
Get an Office Store add-in for Word or Excel for Mac
On the Insert menu, select Add-ins.
To get new add-ins, select Store. To use add-ins you already have, select My Add-ins.
Get a VBA add-in for Word or Excel for Mac

In the Add-Ins available box, select the add-in you want, and then click OK.
Requirements
